Thank you Joel. That's great advice. I see that there are trout in the streams in the south west but as you suggest, I will probably stick to the salt.

There are a couple of sanctuary zones around Exmouth that you can't fish from shore but plenty of info in and around town for that.
And then as you had found, a licence for freshwater south of Carnarvon (approximately)
Stick to the ocean and lower reaches of rivers and you'll be fine.

Cheers
Joel

Some people go to church and think about fishing, I go fishing and think about God (sometimes)

Thanks. I had already checked that. I was just seeking some confirmation on my take of the document. And I couldn't find anything on National Parks.

Hi all. I will be on a bus tour from Broome to Perth for 12 days from 1 September. Then I will hire a camper to do the SW corner for a couple weeks. I will have the travel rod along. Just looking for advice re licence requirements. Seems to me that I don't need one for land based salt water ? What about National Parks and fresh water?

Anything caught will be released.

Cheers
