My choice is Lowrance 000-11785-001 HDS-7 GEN3 Insight Fishfinder, which is a superb product that comes with a sophisticated functionality and one of the top 6 best fish finder

Before settling on any device it is important to consider some factors so that you can get the best fish finder
2. Display type
3. Functionality of the transducer
4. Portability of the device.
5. How they are being rated by users

Regards.

well you might have bought a fish finder already. But I would recommend deeper smart sonar for those who are just starting out. If you want big screen display unit then go for raymarine dragon fly series. I personally think although others might disagree but its in the sweet spot not too expensive nor too cheap but offers features only high end expensive fish finders from humminbird and lowrance are providing. I have attaached the source of link which convinced me to make this suggestion.

Sorry ,it does not matter, you will get the chirp one with the unit.My salesman tried to palm off a cheaper trany when i brought my HDS10,not the proper one and was going to charge me full price.
Dont think they can pull that stunt with the chirp.

Have just installed my new Lowrance Elite CHIRP 5 on the truck .After some bad feedback on Facebook I was a little worried that I had engaged in money badly spent but pleased to say on the first trip out the sidescan sonar was awesome. Went over the wreck of HMAS Perth and could easily see the superstructure windows and the handrail the length of the ship.(forgot to take a photo of the sounder screen DOH!)
The fish identifiers on the sounder screen are not as good as the Humminbird I had previously and I still need to sort out all the menus on the sounder and chart plotter. They are not as user friendly as humminbird either. I guess with one machine trying to do three jobs there has to be compromise in the system somewhere. All up It has performed pretty well and only time will tell as to whether or not I strike the problems some others have had

Right.

Option is
www.whitworths.com.au/main_itemdetail.as...65&intAbsolutePage=1

Or

www.whitworths.com.au/main_itemdetail.as...67&intAbsolutePage=1

Only difference is $10 and the transducer.

50/200 455/800
83/200. 445/800

I don't understand what it means
