The annual Perth Boat Show returns again next month.

Showcasing everything boating related and including plenty of gear of interest to fishers, the show is once again being held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC), from September 4-6.

This year’s show will be spread across all six pavilions at the PCEC and will bring together more than 90 exhibitors and over 150 brands of watercraft spread throughout the venue, from family-friendly trailerboats to high-performance luxury vessels.

For anglers, there will be plenty to see and do, as well as the chance to check out their next dream boat.

A selection of tackle retailers will showcase the latest rods and reels, along with popular tackle items such as lures, squid jigs, braided fishing line, fishing apparel and other accessories.

With spring beginning and warmer weather on the way, it is the perfect time to update your gear and prepare for the months ahead.

Boat show veteran and 6PR personality Karl Langdon will be running the main stage, and it will feature a number of guests including Shain Wieffering from Fishin Wishin Life.

Karl and his guests will appear daily, sharing stories, insights and the latest from their fishing adventures.

There will be presentations on marine safety and the show’s On Deck interview program will put the spotlight on exhibitors, boats, marine design, towing and fishing.

Guests will include Myles Dixon from Kazura Fishing, along with a range of industry specialists.

I met Myles for the first time at a show last year and he is as enthusiastic a young angler as you will find, and he just loves to talk fishing.

When it comes to the boats themselves, there will be more than $40 million worth of vessels on display, along with a wide range of related products including engines, accessories, navigation aids, angling gear, recreation products and safety equipment.

With the constant advances in technology available to boating anglers, the latest electronics are sure to attract plenty of attention from fishers, with displays of the latest units from the leading brands.

If you bring Dad to the show on the Sunday, Father’s Day will be packed with boating, entertainment and family fun.

The first 250 dads through the doors will receive a free gift of their choice – coffee, Perth Boat Show stubby holder, cap or fishing shirt – plus there'll be plenty more giveaways and activities throughout the day to make Father's Day one to remember.

If Dad needs a place to rest between eyeing off his next fishing or boating investment, he can head to the Skippers Bar.

Little Nippers Cove will offer free activities for kids and the door prize will be a Floatables prize pack valued at over $4000.
